The law firm Walther Bayer Faber Patentanwälte PartGmbB is a long-
established and traditional patent law firm with almost 120 years of experience
in industrial property protection (patents, trade marks, designs). The firm was
founded as early as 1903 by the then examiner at the Imperial Patent Office,
Dipl.-Ing. Rolf HEDDERICH.
The firm was passed down through generations until it was taken over by
Dipl.-Ing. Horst WALTHER in 1955. In 1988, Dipl. Ing. Robert WALTHER joined
the firm as a partner. From 1996 to 2016, the firm was managed by the
partners Robert WALTHER and Claus-Dieter HINZ with offices in Kassel and
Bonn. In 2016, Dr. BAYER joined the firm as a partner, adding the Düsseldorf
office, and continued the firm together with Claus-Dieter HINZ under the name
Walther Hinz Bayer Patentanwälte.
As of the beginning of 2022, the firm continues to operate with partners Dr. BAYER and
Dr. FABER, LL.M., with patent attorney WALTHER retiring and patent attorney
HINZ leaving the partnership.
Over the years, the firm has gained numerous new clients in the fields of
mechanical engineering, vehicle construction, medical technology, production
technology, measurement and control technology as well as plastics
technology, fire protection technology and building materials technology
to name the most important.
The firm's clients are mainly from Northern Hesse, the Ruhr area and the Rhineland.
We represent our clients before the German and the European Patent Office as
well as before foreign patent offices.
We protect your ideas as patents, utility models, trademarks and designs. In
addition, we draft contracts, for example licence agreements, provide
translations and carry out prior art searches.
